It all started with an email from a sweet girl named Lauren who called Arizona her home and was flying in for her wedding which was just a few months away. I had never read such sweet and calm emails from someone who was planning their wedding from over a thousand miles away. This was my first sign that these two were exactly who I felt called to serve in the wedding industry. A couple months, a few Skype sessions with Lauren and a evening over coffee with her sweet momma bear later, I was on my way to capture Lauren & Chris I Do day at Bloom Lake Barn.
Their entire day was put together by the love & effort of friends & family. The flower crowns were hand crafted by Lauren the night before her big day (how amazing is she?!) The wooden signs that would lead her down the aisle assembled by a dear family member and their gorgeous cross that they would say their vows in front of was also a labor of love.
This wedding was as dreamy as could be with the sunny skies and fresh blooms everywhere, but what made it one of my favorite weddings to look back on from this past summer was the humble & genuine spirits of Lauren & Chris. I remember one moment specifically after their first look at Taylor Falls when we were talking about their lives in Arizona and I had mentioned how much I had loved my vacation to Scottsdale that spring and the first thing they did was invite me back to visit them! They had met me just hours before (Chris just minutes ago) and the first thing they think to do is express that “their door is always open.” That only continued to speak volumes as the day continued and they continued to pour into those that were there.
Man, I love these two. Take a peek & leave some love for them in the comments!
