You’re in for a treat this Friday! This engagement session was something special. It had a way of humbly reminding me of what it is our job as photographers is while capturing moments our brides & grooms have trusted only us with! I sent out this gallery to Whitney & Steven earlier this week and within minutes, I was flooded with a fuzzy feeling as I received these sweet words from Whitney:
I am SPEECHLESS. I can’t even thank you enough. Currently bawling as I scroll through all of these pictures. I knew walking into this that you did amazing work but didn’t expect you to capture Steven and I perfectly. I am blown away and truly can’t thank you enough! I am beyond grateful to have you apart of this amazing journey, so thank you so much!!!”
Friends, their unique way of loving each other is written all over these photos and it inspired me to dig into the reason why.
In a wide open field, their session took place in what I saw as a clean slate. Ditching any bells and whistles, it was all about the two of them. As an artist, I love the blank canvases that allow for my brides and grooms to write their own story.
My hope in sharing this engagement session today is that it can inspire a few of my brides (and photographers out there!!) out there to think less about where an engagement session might take place, remove those distractions and just allow yourselves to be fully present during your engagement session! You will reap the reward when your photos speak wonders to who you and your fiancé are as a couple together. We all have something so unique to celebrate and that is so powerful!
As I post this, I am out at the Calhoun Beach Club shooting my first wedding that kicks off this season with two of my favorite high school sweethearts!! I’m so excited to share more these next couple of weeks as things begin to pick up!! Who’s ready for more love to hit the blog?!
