Minnesota gal, wife, Jesus follower, photographer + biz owner. Sharing stories I’ve captured, lived, and things I love here on the blog. If you’re looking for a spot you can stay awhile, you’re in the right place.
If the first time you meet a bride, she walks in with her arms opened wide, just hug her and never let her go. That was the first sign that Mary was the epitome of what I hoped Whitley B. Brides would look like, but since then I’ve learned that Mary & Brian are so much more than that. Happy as can be and with hearts of pure gold, these two are worth celebrating over and over again!
Their engagement session was so personal and close to their hearts and it was so evident we were in a place where love lived. We adventured out to the lake spot that Brian had proposed to Mary earlier in the year. They brought along their cribbage set from their alma mater, sat on her grandparent’s plaid blanket, and sipped Karuba Gold coffee (you heard me right – Mary picks this up everyday before she head’s to her job as a pediatric nurse!) while the sunset.
I often like to challenge my brides & grooms to creating traditions and I love the idea that Brian & Mary might come sit on that same little hill where he once proposed and play a game of cribbage as the years go on. Wouldn’t that be something?
