Happy Monday, my friends! This weekend was a big one! Between launching my new website & blog, a winter wedding, Sam coming home for the holidays for the month, and two sessions on Sunday, my heart is feeling so full this morning… and my to do list, well, that’s long, but I’m loving every minute of it!
As my website was being created I dreamed really big about what my new blog would look and feel like. One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is connecting with my clients & other photographers, and I missed it. Sure, I was able to connect and share what I’d been up to with my Seniors & Weddings on Facebook and Instagram, which is so fun, but I missed that place where people could just hangout and read for hours!! When I set out for my new website, I made my blog one of the top priorities! I then had to think to myself, how am I going to share all of my work?! Well, I finally created for myself a blogging schedule that will allow me to share Senior Sessions, Weddings, and Tips/Tricks for my friends around here weekly and I am so beyond excited about it!!
To kick things off on the blog, I am sharing with you one of the sweetest Whitley B. Seniors of 2017! When she first jumped out of her car for her senior session, I just had to shower her in hugs! Her face was lit up the entire time we were shooting and we had a complete blast. The fall colors were beyond gorgeous and complimented her perfectly! It’s safe to say I am a huge fan of strawberry blondes now (and just Julia in general!) Julia is a dancer at her high school and is also incredibly talented in makeup! When I asked her who did it, she said she did! She does prom makeup for her friends & others at her high school every year. How amazing is that?! She’s a boss lady herself, which makes me love her all the more!
I thought I’d spice things up with my Senior Mondays and start asking Whitley B. Seniors to share a few things with you that would allow you to connect with them, too! Julia described her expierience as unforgettable, easy going (which I love!!) and super fun! Julia also had some awesome advice to future seniors who are planning for their senior expierience! You can also see where her outfits are from at the very bottom of this blog post!! Take a look:
Don’t stress! Don’t stress about your pics or your outfit or any of it. have fun and don’t take one second of it seriously! The more you have fun with it, the better your pictures will turn out and the better time you’ll have. Pick outfits that you’ll be comfortable in and ones that makes you feel the best.
THOSE EYES!
Another favorite!! It is so fun when seniors incorporate things they’re passionate about into their sessions!
THIS ONE IS AN ALL. TIME. FAVORITE.
